Nag Tibba Trek Itinerary

Day 1New Delhi to Dehradun (8 Hours) then to Pantwari village (4 Hours) and trek to Camping Site (30 min. | 5 km)

The journey for Nag Tibba Trek will begin from Pantwari Village. However, the trek is inclusive of transportation from New Delhi.
Hence, all the participants have to reach ISBT Kashmere Gate, New Delhi at 9:30 pm. From there the Volvo bus service provided by Devadars will take you to Dehradun.

Next morning at 5 am, you will reach Dehradoon. From there Devadars Taxi will pick you up for Pantwari Village, starting on a 4-hour uphill drive to village Panthwari at 4,640 ft. Pantwari Village is the location from where your actual trek begins.

Road en routes through Mussoorie-the queen of hills, to Kempty Falls, and with the Yamuna river flowing to Nainbagh from where we turn on the Nag TIbba road, reaching Panthwari at around 11 pm. Mussorie will be the place where you will find ATMs thereafter you won’t be able to find any ATM. Network connectivity is available throughout the trek. However, it is advisable to carry cash and not to rely on e-payment modes.

Upon reaching Panthwari you can buy yourself a Himalayan breakfast and freshen-up yourself. From there onwards, we will begin our 30 minutes trek. Water points will be available during the trek. Refill service can be done here. The end of today’s trek will lead you to our campsite. You can avail hot and fresh lunch here.

During the harvest seasons, you will find these terrains in different shades of green and yellow. The locality of Panthwari can be seen lying down far below. Before reaching the ridge connecting the Panthwari side of the hills with Nag Tibba, you will come across ‘Goat Village’—an interesting eco-tourism resort.

Rest of the day is reserved for yourself. Wander around, click some selfies, made some Insta stories. Thanks to network availability. Soup will be provided in the evening. Followed by dinner.

You can also have a bonfire on this day.

Day 2Camping site to Nag Tibba top and return to Pantwari Village and drive to Dehradun for New Delhi

On day 2 we will become early birds to start our trek to compensate with the long day ahead. After having a hot breakfast, we will kickstart our day. Our trail will follow thick forests paths. In winters, due to snow, the trail may become a little difficult, otherwise, it is fairly easy. From this point on, the trek is almost a level walk on very gentle undulations.
The Nag Tibba temple marking the base of the Nag Tibba hill is situated on the third clearing that we find on this trail. From here, on a clear sky day, the Garhwal Himalaya peaks are discernible.

The trek continues from here into the forest on a steep incline, likely to be engulfed in the snow in the winter. This part of the trek boosts the bar for the challenge and makes an exhilarating summit experience. Close to the top, the trail will turn through a ridge and finally take you to the flag marking Nag Tabbi jhandi, or summit.
The azure sky lights up with ice-capped ranges of Bandarpoonch, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Kala Nag, and more.
If time permits, you can spend some time on the top, then make the way down by the same trail. Lunch will be served at the camp. Panthwari will be reached by sundown and a 4-5 hour drive from there will take you Dehradun from where your Volvo to Delhi awaits you.
